Take the book you read last
Find another author with the same first or last name - pick any book by that author
Open that book and go to page 74. On the 3rd line down, pick out two words, and find a book with those two words in the title.
(If you are doing this without physical copies of the book - like me - go to the quotes page on GoodReads, and pick the 3rd quote. Or find a sample, and follow the instruction. 3rd line down, two words.)
Find another book with a similar context
find yet another book with a similar title
Pick the name of one of the characters in that book, and find another book that has that name in the title, (or has a character with the same name or a similar name)
Open that book at any page in random, close your eyes, and put your finger down. Under your finger is your word.
Find a book with that word in the title.
Ok, let's play:
The last book I read: Grendel
It's written by John Gardner
An author with the same name is Sally Gardner and the book is I, Coriander
ABOUT page 74, 3rd line down is "My father ordered all the windows of our house to be opened so that her spirit could find its way home."
I pick The Girl Who Raced Fairyland All the Way Home by Catherynne Valente
A book with similar context is Over the Woodward Wall by A. Deborah Baker
Similar title would be Those Beyond the Wall by Micaiah Johnson
A character from that book is Scales
A book with that name (or word) in the title... well, this is a bit of a long stretch, but I say Beaufort Scales: A Toot Hansell Christmas Cracker. Now Beaufort Scales is not part of the title, it's the name of the series the book is part of. Close enough, I say.
A random word is "looked"
The book I chose is Looking for the King by David C. Downing
I could have gone this way, too
A book with similar context is The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong
Similar title would be The Legend of Eli Monpress
A character from that book is Eli
A book with that name (or word) in the title The Young Elites by Marie Lu
A random word is "loud"
The book I chose is Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
Another Scavenger Hunt comes from Mars, and it starts with "A cover that you love".
A book with a similar cover is
The first sentence on page 50 (or something around that place) is "A tendril of black hair escaped her uttariya and fell across her cheek."
A book title with one of those words in the title is Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn
So... a book with opposite themes. A modern cosy love story with a clumsy MC...
Homicide and Halo-Halo by Mia P. Manansala
It has 279 pages. I need to find a book with a reverse page count.

Er... that's 972 pages. Oh my goodness.
Interestingly enough, I have a book on my TBR list with that exact page number.
Forever Amber.
The book with the same color palette on the cover is Prairie Fires
Prairie Fires was published in 2017, and another book published that year is Artemis by Andy Weir.
The next prompt is a bit questionable.
Mars says to count the number of letters of the first word in the story, and then find a title with the same number of letters but Ellen Catherine says read a book with that many hundred pages, and THEN find a book with title of that many letters...
The first word of Artemis is "I". ROTFLMAO
So, a 100-page "book". Schachnovelle by Stefan Zweig has 95 pages, and I think that's close enough.
There are surprisingly many books with one-letter titles in the world. I'll choose Z by Therese Anne Fowler, just for the fun of it.
So... the next book needs to have a title or author whose name starts with Z. Joke's on me. I'm dying here ROTFLMAO
I could choose Nancy Mitford's Zelda.
